Hassan Tavakkoli, D.O., Ph.D.
Dr. Tavakkoli graduated from Michigan State University where he earned his Medical Degree and Ph.D. in Microbiology. He did his medical ophthalmology residency in Chicago and followed with a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery in Indianapolis where he was involved in the original Laser Vision Correction Trials.
Dr. Tavakkoli has performed all types of vision correction, including: RK, AK, ALK, PRK, LASIK and LASEK. He has been involved in research and has published a number of articles in several prestigious ophthalmology journals. Dr. Tavakkoli is board certified and has been practicing and performing vision correction surgery in South Florida for the past ten years.

Fredy A. Otalora Q., O.D., M.S., F.A.A.O.
Fredy A. Otalora is a Doctor of Optometry who graduated with Honors from NOVA Southeastern University. He completed his Masters in Clinical Vision Research at NOVA Southeastern University. Dr. Otalora also has a degree in Optometry from La Salle University, Colombia. He completed an externship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in 2009. At present, Dr. Otalora is a Clinical Preceptor and Externship Site Coordinator at NOVA Southeastern University. He is also an adjunct Professor at the Diplomate of Advanced Contact Lens Fitting at Universidad del Bosque, Colombia. He has presented several posters at the American Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry and SECO professional meetings. He has participated as an international speaker in multiple meetings.
Dr. Otalora is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. His area of interest and specialty include ocular disease, clinical research and contact lenses.
E. Ciliberti, M.D., M.S.
Dr. Ciliberti is one of only a few physicians with residency training in both Ophthalmology and Neurology specialties, having done his Ophthalmology residency at Tulane University and his Neurology residency at the Cleveland Clinic. He recently completed subspecialty fellowship training in Neuro-ophthalmology with two of the most prominent names in Neuro-ophthalmology, Joel Glaser, M.D. and Norman Schatz, M.D. He is a native of New York, he has resided in South Florida since 1971. He currently living in Boca Raton, FL. In his spare time, Dr. Ciliberti enjoys cycling, boating, and racquetball. He is also a Captain in the Air Force Reserve Medical Corps.
Fred Chien, M.D.
Dr. Chien is a medical retina specialist and cataract surgeon who has performed over 5,000 cataract surgeries in the last 10 years. His publication and work with Plaquenil retinopathy during this time lead to an improved Plaquenil screening program and has helped save the sight of numerous patients who were previously undetected. He specializes in the non-surgical treatment of diabetic retina disease, wet and dry macular degeneration, vein occlusions, and other retina disorders. He also specializes in micro-incisional cataract surgery and premium lens implants such as multifocal lenses, astigmatism correcting lenses and the use of the femto-second laser assisted surgery.
